Biography-
The Electronic dance music landscape in India has a fresh new prince: not only has he always enjoyed great affection and love from his fans and followers, he storms each and every console and dance floor with music magic and mayhem…..Welcome to the world of ANKYTRIXX.
He is the winner of the prestigious VH1 MyFav Awards for the #DJ of the Year (2013) & for the second time in a row #No1 DJ in Electronica (2012, 2013): this is India’s biggest Peoples Choice Awards Poll for artists. Ankytrixx has gone up several notches in the International Dance Music scene and is one of the busiest DJs in Asia, with over 150 gigs annually for the last 2 years.
A Techno/ Tech & Progressive House specialist; his body of work covers a vast spectrum of electronic sounds effortlessly. Ankytrixx’s infectious musicality spells out top-notch outings and his energetic forward thinking sets transcend us with reckless abandon. John Digweed, Dave Seaman, to Guy J, Henry Saiz, Armin Van Buren, Richie Hawtin, Axwell, Spartaque and Dubfire are just some of the renowned names Ankytrixx has shared consoles with. The swankiest venues in India- The Blue Frog, Aurus, Bardo, Roxy, Lap, Pacha, F Bar, B Bar see him playing out Dj sets as a regular feature. Ankytrixx is also stamping his signature Djing sets at smaller untouched territories of India as well.
Along with a residency at top beach club BARDO in Goa under his own brand of “Monday Underground”, these customized parties have stamped his brand and authority in immense popularity and a must attend in the season calendar. He co-runs a company by the name of Audiophile Network-that is an agency which handles artists, events and customized concepts in the nightlife entertainment segment of India.
An extensive gig schedule in Europe has him performing in cities such as Amsterdam, Ibiza, Berlin and Istanbul, Singapore and Thailand in Asia. From Studio80 in Amsterdam, to KaterHolzig & Renate in Berlin, Super Club PACHA, Bora Bora & Sankeys in Ibiza, LeClan in Prague, 360 & Blow in Istanbul. Ankytrixx has added top new clubs like PACHA to his accomplishments, all in summer 2013. His sound is a regular feature in some of the very best festivals in India such as Sunburn, Sula Fest, Dusk, Barefoot to International festivals like Tree Of Life (Turkey), Pearl Festival (London) and Universal Religion (Nepal). He has recently been signed on to some major booking and management agencies in Europe.
July 2013 is marked extra special with Ankytrixx taking on the role of Producer when his debut track has hit the dance scene globally. ”No Kontrol” has seen a singles release with a remix by Da Fresh on Freshin Records and is available now on Beatport. This stunning Techno bomb has already seen early support from some of the biggest dance Djs in the business of the likes of Piatto, The Scumfrog, Marco Carola, Meat Katie, Umek, Olivier Giacomotto, Spartaque to name a few. The future is choc-a-block as he is poised to take out a number of releases under prolific labels of IamT, Toolroom & Frink.
